Before you say hello.
Can my character text me today?
SMS activation is not available yet. You can save your character, phone and preferences, but that does not send texts. Once your account is eligible, Texting setup will show the sending number and phone-pairing code. There is no promised launch date.
Do I need to chat on the website?
No. The main idea is to create your character here and continue over SMS once activated. Web chat is optional and available now. It also gives you access to approved memory and history controls.
Can I change my character later?
Yes. Edit their name, identity, personality, conversation style, relationship and fictional description in Companions. Future replies use the updated character, and your existing history stays available. You can also save multiple characters; the SMS pilot supports one selected character and one verified phone per account at a time.
Is the person texting me real?
Your companion is a fictional AI character. There is no human speaking through them. Artwork and homepage conversations are illustrations, not real users or live replies. AI can be inaccurate; HelloAsh is not a professional or emergency service.
Does saving my setup start a subscription?
No HelloAsh subscription or automatic billing is created by saving your setup. Your carrier’s message and data rates may apply when SMS is active. Any future paid offering would need its own clear pricing and signup.
